Many travelers’ favorite activity when visiting a country is undoubtedly to go shopping.  Aside from the ultra modern shopping malls, many local markets offer quality selection of product at affordable prices. Elephant Go Go invites you to join us on the ultimate shopping spree at 5 best markets on Elephant Go Go routes.

Sampeng Market

Sampeng market is one of the largest and oldest markets in Thailand. The market is geared towards wholesale (but retail customers are also welcome) so prices are typically much lower than elsewhere.

The market is open in two cycles: from 1am to 6am for wholesale customers and from 8am to 5pm for both wholesale and retail customers. To get wholesale prices, you need to purchase a minimum of 3 items per shop so it is best to go with a few friends to take advantage of the discounted prices.
