Chulalongkorn University

Chulalongkorn University is the first university in Thailand. Established and open on 26 March 1917 by King Rama V, its initial purpose was to produce governmental officers. It later transformed into a public university. Chulalongkorn University is one of the highest-ranking educational institutes in Thailand, offering nineteen faculties and dozens of academic centers and offices that cover various fields of sciences, technology, art and culture, and social sciences. To get a glimpse of Thai college life, visitors can walk around the central campus areas. Just be sure to dress and behave respectfully.
