Tai Hong Kong Shrine

Tai Hong Kong Shrine

The shrine is dedicated to Tai Hong, a merciful monk in China who was highly revered for his kindness and dedication to tend to the poor. The Thai-Chinese people in Thailand who were inspired by his compassionate principle gathered to establish a committee called “Khana Tai Hong Kong” to arrange funerals for unidentified bodies or those without a family. Later, the committee was changed to “Poh Teck Tung Foundation”, running charity work. Every day, Tai Hong Kong Shrine receives visitors who pray for longevity and prosperity. Monetary and coffin donations are welcome to support the dead with no family.
